Jungfrau region
Two lakes, two valleys and the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau above them. The most requested region in Switzerland.
Interlaken sits between the lakes of Thun and Brienz; the mountain villages of Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren sit above it. The Jungfraujoch railway reaches 3,454 metres and needs a reserved seat in season; the Schilthorn cable car, the Lauterbrunnen waterfalls and the First cliff walk are the alternatives with fewer people. We plan the days so the group is not in the same queue as everyone else.

About Jungfrau region.
Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn?
Jungfraujoch for the highest railway and the glacier. Schilthorn for a quieter, panoramic summit with a rotating restaurant. On a longer stay we do both on different days.
Where should we stay?
Interlaken for connections, Wengen or Mürren for a car free village, Grindelwald for families. We recommend and reserve on request.
Is it worth it in bad weather?
We check the summit webcams and forecasts and move the mountain day if needed. The proposal keeps a flexible day for this.
